The European Association of Technology Enhanced Learning provides access to a range of systems that will help members to think about Technology Enhanced Learning innovation. Our mission is to bring together the most important research groups in the area of professional learning and training, as well as other key organisations and industrial partners, thus bridging the currently existing gap between research and education at universities and similar organisations and training and continuous education that is provided for and within companies!

FM

FM (http://fm.ea-tel.eu/) is a lightweight videoconferencing applet from the Flashmeeting project of the UK’s Open University. FM is provided as a free service to EATEL members. Users should check out the example recordings of public events via the public part of the site and contact the European Association of Technology Enhanced Learning to discuss contributions to / from this service; and (for non-EATEL members) to request a demonstration account. PROLEARN MEDIABASE

The PROLEARN MEDIABASE was produced within the framework of the PROLEARN network of excellence in Professional Learning, and allows users to assess cross-media digital discourses and archives in the field of professional learning. We are gathering the latest information in this field from different reputable sources by monitoring mailing lists, newsletters, websites, and RSS/atom feeds. Conzilla

The Conzilla (http://www.conzilla.org) concept modelling system allows companies to think about concepts in an entirely new way; entirely dynamic; modelled way! Conzilla2 – our second generation concept browser – is a knowledge management tool with many purposes. Among other things, it aims to be an efficient collaborative knowledge environment / modeling tool.a versatile interface for editing and styling RDF. Conzilla presents knowledge in terms of specific maps, Context-maps. PROLEARN-TV

PROLEARN-TV (http://stadium.open.ac.uk/prolearn/) delivers a significant living structure of a great number of support materials for live webcasting. This material is showcased via a streaming media portal to the TEL community. ISABEL

Isabel (http://isabel.dit.upm.es/) is a multipoint group collaboration tool for performing distributed congresses, classrooms or meetings over the Internet with audiences sitting in small rooms or large auditoriums, always with audiovisual support. Although Isabel can be used also for the desktop interaction, the application has been optimized for interconnecting large audiences in large multipoint configurations. eMersion

eMersion (http://emersion.epfl.ch) is a multidisciplinary initiative to deploy innovative pedagogical scenarios and flexible learning resources for supporting Web-based experimentation in engineering education. The eMersion project has been funded by the Board of the Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology between 2000 and 2004 in the framework of its New Learning Technology program. Up to 2007, the eMersion environment was refined and spread in the framework of the ProLEARN European network of excellence. The services integrated within the eMersion environment included a remote experimentation console, a shared laboratory journal (eJournal), a contextual protocol, an analysis toolkit (SysQuake Remote), and awareness support. ObjectSpot

ObjectSpot (http://www.objectspot.org) is a web-based federated search client plus middle-ware mediator for distributing queries and collecting results to digital libraries and learning object repositories that implement the Simple Query Interface (SQI). ObjectSpot aims to connect various distributed learning object repositories to provide the user with federated search results. Simply submit your search request and see how results start pouring in. The tooltips of the repository nodes display the current search status, left-clicking on a node shows you the repository location, right-clicking shows recent search statistics.
